The is an original Crystal Tones® singing bowls tool for the Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls. The mallet is made of silicone. 

The silicone can be used to sweep around the rim. Doing so vertically or horizontally will give a different texture of sound.  The silicone gives a sharper and refine sound when sweeping around the rim. We suggest to clean your hands and the bowls before using the mallet.
